FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions that we hear online, and in our shop

We hang our hats on specialty coffee, great beer, delicious panini sandwiches, and homemade pastries. But we’re a gathering space, we offer free Wi-Fi if you’re trying to get some work done, comfortable chairs, and a clean, modern environment. We’re locally owned by Chad & Nellie Montgomery, who also own and operate Big Texas Beer Fest.

Check our contact page for all the details on our hours, phone number, or drop us a written note. Your email will go right to a human.

Our kitchen serves panini sandwiches daily from 11am-9pm, and we serve espresso-based drinks until 30 minutes before close.

We’re open every day of the year, except Thanksgiving and Christmas. We close on these days, so that our staff can spend time with their families.

For groups of 10 or larger, drop us a note on our contact page. If you’ve got a very large gathering of at least 50 people, and want to reserve the whole place to yourself, we’re usually able to accommodate as well, use that contact page and tell us a little bit more about what you’re trying to do. We have seating for 85, but with standing room, we can accommodate up to 120. If the weather is really nice and we can open our garage doors, we can maybe even fit a few more.

We’re a counter-service coffee shop and beer bar, we don’t have changing tables in our bathrooms, and sometimes we play music with explicit lyrics. If you’re cool with that, we’re cool with your kids! Everyone with an open mind is welcome at Civil Pour. We’ve got a custom-made hot chocolate on the menu, some delicious pastries, juices, and other stuff your kids might love too.

Unfortunately, aside from our rotating French macaron flavors, we do not offer gluten-free food. Because we are a restaurant and bar, we do not allow outside food or drinks due to regulations from the health department and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC).

*NOTE: while our macarons are not prepared with any gluten-containing ingredients, they are not prepared in a gluten-free environment.

At the moment, we do not offer gift cards.

Prior to opening, we offered a lifetime membership program for discounts on many of our menu items. At this time, the Ruckus membership is not available. We may offer another version of this in the near future.

As first-time restaurant operators, we don’t really know what to expect. We might open more locations in the future, but we might not. We’ll update everyone as soon as we know!

We have no plans to do catering in the future, but we’d like to add gift cards, accept online orders and more in the future.
